This animation was produced for the National Library of Medicine. It is part of a documentary on Joshua Lederber, who received the Nobel prize in 1958 for his work in bacterial genetics. This documentary goes along with the Profiles in Science website, which is an online exhibit of various prominent physicians, scientist, and researchers. APDB, which is the branch I work for at NLM, produces these documentaries for Profiles in Science.
